The Basilica de San Juan de Dios was the last elaborate church interior of our trip, and what a crescendo to end on.

The Royal Chapel and cathedral are in the same building yet have separate entrances and entrance fees. Both are included with the Granada Card.
The monastery was different from other churches and cathedrals we’ve seen in that a lot of the decoration was via murals painted on the walls and ceilings.
We followed a walking path marked on the map provided by our hotel that conveniently went by most of the sites included with our Granada Card.
The alcazaba was okay but fairly boring especially in the rain. We also did a quick run through the small museum because we weren’t sure how long it was going to take and we needed to get in line for the palaces.
The palaces were beautiful though we were kind of expecting them to be staged with furniture and such so that was a mild disappointment. Still lots to see and loads of detail.
The Alhambra is huge, with lots to see, hence three posts. The Generalife is mainly about the gardens.
The Alhambra is stunning and we enjoyed our five nights in Granada. It felt more approachable. I don’t know if that’s because it’s a little smaller city or because we’d been here for a while and feel more comfortable.
