We liked Barbados so much the first time we were here that we decided to come back and spend more time. I looked at combining it with another island, like Antigua, but decided the hassle of island hopping wasn’t outweighed by the novelty of visiting a new island. (Island hopping may sound exciting and romantic but it also tends to be pricey and interrupts what might otherwise be a relaxing trip.) So we’re keeping it simple and just going to Barbados.

St Lawrence Gap (10 nights)
We stayed here the first time we came to Barbados and liked the vibe and the dining options. We’d planned to spend the entire 10 days at the same hotel but they weren’t available for the whole period, so we’re splitting our stay between two hotels.

Holetown (22 nights)
We really liked the studio we stayed in last time we were here, so we’re coming back to spend more time. Or so we thought. We’d booked a different unit since the last one wasn’t available, but since they built the big, noisy hotel next door, we can’t. So we’re staying in a nearby house instead. It will be interesting to see what else has changed now that the new hotel is open.
