We took the easy route and got a bus to Llanberis to take the Snowdon Mountain cog railway. The scenery was just as good and we didn’t have to walk.
The trail didn’t look too bad as far as footing and such but it did look like it got very steep. We were happy we were taking the train rather than walking. As trails go it’s pretty deluxe. There’s even a rest stop with a café!
There were lots of people on the train. They said every ticket for that day had been sold so I was glad I bought them in advance. (We bought them online.) We didn’t get to go all the way to the top because they were working on the track but we did get to go 3/4 of the way up and there were some nice views up there.
Here are some of the views. We thought that small lake looked like a fake lake out of a James Bond movie.
