We followed a walk recommended by the staff on the ship, starting with the cathedral. The exterior rivals other famous gothic cathedrals we’ve seen. We didn’t see the inside because it was Sunday and services were being held. The nearby art museum is an example of the traditional and modern juxtaposition you see so often in Nordic countries.
Our next stop was the Old Town Bridge, a famous pedestrian only bridge. It had colorful benches where you could stop and hang out on a drier day. Andwe got to see a cute fluffy dog.
You get a nice view of the colorful waterfront buildings from the bridge. These used to be warehouses but have been repurposed. After crossing the bridge we headed through an old neighborhood back down to the port.
More waterfront buildings, and a modern office building with an interesting exterior.
