Roman Forum and Palatine Hill

The Palatine Hill made a calm break between the crowds at the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. The crowds did make it feel more real. Just imagine your fellow tourists are wearing togas.

On the Palatine Hill the ruins were more spread out, with grass and trees in between, a fountain, and views over the city.

We meandered our way over to the Roman Forum.

We entered the Forum at the arch. (There are several entrances and exits, and they may not all be open.) It’s well marked and we roughly followed the walking tour in our guide book.
