Roman Baths

We found the presentation of the baths very well done, with a nice mix of the rebuilt (to see how things might have been) the actual (to see them now) and the interpreted (to explain what you're seeing). There were audio and visual guides, with different tracks to follow.

You can see Bath Abbey from the upper level, where you enter.

Carvings on the baths are detailed and in some cases amusing.

You can go inside the baths too. The small pillars supported the floor, and smoke was piped in between to heat the floor. Ancient radiant heat!

Steve thought it looked like the statue on the left was, uh, contributing to the baths.

And yes we wondered why anyone would want to get in or drink that nasty looking green water.
