Matera Walk

Matera was great for wandering. We wish we had more time to do it.

We started our walk with the two main squares in town. We went by the entrance to the cistern but did not go in.

Then we hit Casa Noha museum, where we learned a lot about the history of Matera and the sassi (caves).

We saw at least two of these globe-and-tree sculptures in town. This courtyard looked relaxing.

Then we just kind of wandered over toward the edge of town.

Along the way we saw convenient moped parking, a cactus covered in snails. And of course another wedding. Two weddings!
