London Shopping

London is one my favorite places to shop. We hit a couple of street markets and Oxford Street.

We went to Portobello Market on Saturday. (Which is not the best day to go, but necessary because I also wanted to hit Camden Market.) Lots of junk, not much interesting. Some old jewelry and a shop with remade haberdashery items. Still a good time.

Then we hit Oxford Street: Marks & Spencer, Selfridges, Zara, Top Shop, Uniqlo, H & M, Primark. And Liberty, which is a cool old store. My feet were dead at the end but we scored some good deals on merino wool sweaters and shoes.

The following day we went to Camden Market, where I saw lots of interesting items that don’t really fit my life or location. Probably why I enjoyed it so much in my twenties …

I did get some handmade jewelry at Camden Market. The artist lengthened the necklace for me on the spot! The shoes are very comfortable and have gotten a lot of wear! Because leopard is a neutral.
