Virgin Islands National Park Volunteering
We spent a day volunteering at the park while on vacation on St John. It was a fun and worthwhile experience and it sounds like you can still do this!

A fairly easy loop hike from the Virgin Islands National Park visitor center to Honeymoon beach and back.
We weren’t sure what to expect from Isla Verde. It’s somewhere in between a natural beach with few if any services, and what we call an “organized beach,” with umbrellas and chairs to rent. There’s a mix of mega resorts and condos. Our small hotel was only a couple of blocks away.
We had to check out the dry forest at Guanica (Bosque Estatal de Guánica, also Bosque Seco) because it’s the best of its kind in the Caribbean.
El Yunque wasn’t our first rainforest and it isn’t our most impressive, but it IS quite pretty and a good example that’s fairly accessible.
