Cirencester Park

Cirencester Park is part of the Bathurst Estate. Part is free; there's a small fee to go beyond the more developed area near the entrance. There's a mix of paved and wooded paths.

The street leading up to the park is lined with stoned buildings on both sides.

Many of them have interesting architectural details, like these windows and the plants growing on the walls.

This castle-like building is some kind of barracks. We didn’t see the mansion.

A Broad Avenue extends into the park from the entry. I can just imagine horses and carriages on the avenue.

Here are a couple of the statues that are dotted around the grounds.

This totem pole is covered in intricate carving. The trailer in the background sold snacks and beverages.

This bench is at the end of the paved avenue. It just invited you to line up the horse statue beyond inside the doorway.

At the end of the paved avenue we turned off onto the paths that wind through the woods.

They were collecting tree seeds in large areas in the woods. We don’t know if they were collecting seeds to get more trees, or to stop more trees from growing.

Landmarks within the woods helped you find your place on the map. We only saw a small part of the park.
