North Dakota to Michigan
The Lake Superior shore in Minnesota and Michigan were nice stopovers on the way back from Glacier National Park. Especially in the fall. We spent two nights in Minnesota and two nights in Marquette, Michigan.

Theodore Roosevelt National Park makes a nice stopover on the way to Glacier National Park. We spent two nights in nearby Medora so we had a full day to explore the south unit.
Michigan to Minnesota
It’s a long drive from mid-Michigan to Glacier National Park and not a lot along the way.
