Cheboygan Sunsets
They call Michigan’s Lake Huron coast the “sunrise coast’ but you can still see some good sunsets on Lake Huron from Cheboygan because it’s at the north end where the lake curves into the straits of Mackinac.

Cheboygan State Park Hiking
One reason we camped at this park was that we heard it has good hiking options, and we did enjoy our hike here. The trails were well marked.

Cheboygan is on Lake Huron in the northeastern corner of Michigan’s lower peninsula. It’s about a half-hour from Mackinac City and could make a good base for visiting Mackinac Island. (So would Wilderness State Park.) We camped there for five days.
