Scenic Cruising (Southbound)
Another day of beautiful scenery from the boat. If possible it was even better than when we were heading northbound.

Tromsø is the largest town in northern Norway and one of the largest above the Arctic Circle. It’s a pleasant place to walk around.
Today we cruised past the Lofoten Islands, with lots of jagged mountains and even a couple of rainbows.
Trondheim was the first city we hit going north. It was nice to walk around even in the rain.
The highlight of our first day of the cruise (and maybe of the cruise overall) was cruising Geirangerfjord.
We spent 12 days on the Coastal Express, going all the way to Norway’s far north and back. We found it scenic and relaxing. You don’t have to commit to the full 12 days.
We didn’t have enough time to see much of Bergen, since we only spent the night here before and after our cruise. It looked like a nice place to spend a day or two, especially if the weather was decent. (Bergen is the rainiest city in Europe so be prepared.)
