Gallipoli
I didn’t realize there were (at least) two Gallipolis. The one in Italy is NOT where the famous battle took place. It IS a nice beach town.

Lecce is famous for its churches. We bought the ticket that gives entry to several churches and made the rounds.

I planned Lecce as a stop where we’d have some time to just wander and hang out; slow the pace a bit. Our 4 nights worked nicely for that.
