Public transport is scarce here so we took a half-day tour to see some of the local villages and countryside. The included boat ride was a highlight.

Sarlat-la-Canéda (or just Sarlat for short) was a beautiful place to spend 4 nights in the Dordogne, and fairly easy to reach by train.
