This Shinto shrine and the surrounding woods and pathways was a serene break from the city crowds.
Sensō-ji
The Sensō-ji temple was beautiful and crowded. Seeing lots of people in traditional Japanese dress added to the atmosphere.
Tokyo
Tokyo was far less intimidating than I feared. People went out of their way to be kind and helpful. Our 4 night stay was the mix of traditional and bleeding edge that I hoped for.
