Boboli Gardens

The Boboli Gardens offer green space near the center of the city and good city overlooks.

We wondered what all these conductor’s stands were for. Turns out they were running a theatrical performance on the grounds during the afternoon. It was on while we were there but we managed to miss it.

The garden has traditional knot gardens, hedges, and long walkways. We didn’t tour the entire garden, just the central part.

There’s both traditional and less traditional sculpture. I think they got the large head from Numenor.

There are some good overlooks of the city. I think the views from Piazzale Michelangelo are better, though maybe a longer walk.

Fountains are scattered around the grounds also. And we threw in a cute bird just because. We didn’t see much wildlife on this trip.
