I said I would feel like I was on vacation when we were walking to the village down a dusty dirt road along the beach and that’s exactly like it happened. Cahuita is pretty close to our ideal beach location in this hemisphere. We spent six nights here. We think we could spend a couple of weeks here.
We may have found our ideal Costa Rica itinerary: wildlife viewing (this time at Monteverde again) sandwiched in between beach time. And we have two candidates for go-to beach destinations in this hemisphere: Cahuita and Samara. We also hit Montezuma again along with Playa Grande and Arenal for some hot springs. Four weeks this time.
